The 1st Shanghai Vocational Skills Competition, organized by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and undertaken by the Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security with the theme of "Skills for a Better Future", was recently held at the Shanghai Automotive Exhibition Center. The Department of Electromechanical Engineering, as the training base and technical support unit for the Shanghai players of the World Championship in the project of "Industrial Control", hosted the competition. Our School leaders paid great attention to this competition, supplied strong support for the competition, the Department of Electromechanical Engineering set up a working group to run the competition, well-organized, active preparations on April 18. It took four days to build the venue. They repeatedly check to confirm whether the competition equipment is intact, consumables, etc. in place to ensure the smooth running of the competition. Teachers of the team were fearless of high temperature, sweating, and trying their best to provide every competitor with high-quality race security, contributing their strength to a strong country with skills. Seven players from our school, including new teacher Liu Jun, took all the places in the program and will compete on the same stage and build the dream of Shanghai.
On April 22nd, the competition officially kicked off, and Xiao Qian, on behalf of the school's leadership team, visited the competition field to care for and sympathize with the contestants and the competition staff. The competition progressed smoothly under the care and support of leaders at all levels, and received unanimous praise from experts and judges, and successfully completed the race security work.
The Department of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering will take this competition as an opportunity to focus on the regional economic development strategy, inspire more students to learn skills, master skills, improve skills enthusiasm, and strive to create an atmosphere of striving to be the first and climbing to the top of the skills training, and to provide more solid support for the development of the society of Shanghai's technical and skilled personnel.
